Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger is worth $3,621.08 as of today, pulled from a set whose total value sits at $7,677.41. That number surprises people, because Wilds of the Unknown is a newer set and newer sets are usually cheaper.

That gap is the whole story of Lorcana value.
The number that tells you where the money is
Fabled is the richest set in the game right now. Every printing added together comes to $15,218.74, and the single dearest card, Mickey Mouse - Brave Little Prince, is $3,803.12 on its own.
The set only has 260 cards, so the average is $58.53. For context, Rise of the Floodborn averages $9.61. Same game, same booster format, one set is worth six times the other.
The short answer to why: Iconic treatments. Nine of the ten most expensive core-legal cards today are Iconics, a treatment tier introduced in later sets. The one exception is Mickey Mouse - True Friend, a Special at $1,258.33 from The First Chapter.
What a pull is actually worth
Here are the ten dearest individual printings in the game right now, all core-legal:
Belle & Beast - Certain as the Sun sits at $2,008.20. Merida - Formidable Archer at $1,768.37. Lilo & Stitch - Fun-Loving Friends at $1,629.34. Ariel - Ethereal Voice at $1,482.58.
Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard, the lone Enchanted on the list, at $1,410.97. Then Mickey Mouse - True Friend at $1,258.33 and Moana - Curious Explorer at $1,250.98 to round out the ten.
Pull one of those and you are holding something real.
The sets that rotated and why they still matter
Four sets have rotated out of Core: Azurite Sea, Reign of Jafar, Rise of the Floodborn, and Archazia's Island. You cannot build competitive decks with them anymore. But their cards are still worth what they are worth.
Elsa - Ice Maker from Archazia's Island is $4,947.50. Simba - Pride Protector from Azurite Sea is $999.50. These are collector prices, not play prices, and that distinction matters every time you see a listing.
Rotated does not mean worthless. It means you are buying a collectible, not a competitive piece.
The gap between collector price and play price
This is the thing that catches people. A card's collector price is what the rarest treatment sells for. Its play price is what the cheapest legal copy costs. Those are sometimes the same card. Often they are not.
If you want to play with Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard, you do not need the $1,410.97 Enchanted. There may be a standard-foil or non-foil printing at a fraction of that. Always check which treatment the listing is showing before you pay. The card name is the same. The price is not.
What the feed cannot tell you
These prices come from our daily market feed and reflect what listings look like today. They do not predict where prices go next, and this piece does not try to.
A card worth $3,800 today has its own history and could have a different one tomorrow. We report what things cost. We do not tell you what to buy because it will go up. Anyone who does is guessing.
Where to actually start
If you opened a pack and pulled something you do not recognise, search the full printed name including the subtitle after the dash. That is what links to the right card page and the right price.
If the card came from a rotated set, the collector value is still real, but do not expect it to slot into a current deck. And if you are buying to play rather than to collect, filter by the cheapest printing of that card name before you commit to anything.
