Cold foil is the standard foil treatment in Disney Lorcana. Common through Legendary cards all come in it, and on average it costs about three to four times what the normal print of the same card costs.

What cold foil means on a listing
TCGplayer labels two foil treatments in Lorcana: Cold Foil and Holofoil. Those are TCGplayer's own printing names. What either treatment physically looks like is a manufacturing question, and we're not going to describe it here without a named source to back it up.
What we can tell you is the price gap between them, because that comes from our own database.
Cold foil runs from a Common averaging $0.23 up to a Legendary averaging $9.83. Normal prints of those same rarities average $0.06 and $4.19 respectively. So the foil premium is real, but it is not dramatic at the low end.
The ladder, and where it breaks
Common through Legendary exist as Normal and Cold Foil. Epic, Enchanted and Iconic exist only as Holofoil. They are not rarer versions of the same ladder. They are a separate track entirely, and the prices show it.
A cold foil Common could be $0.06 or $0.37, and both exist in our data right now.
Here is the counterintuitive thing: an Epic Holofoil averages $7.93. A Legendary cold foil averages $9.83.
"Epic" sounds like it outranks "Legendary," but a typical Legendary cold foil like Tod - Knows All the Tricks at $2.70 costs less than a typical Epic like Judy Hopps - Snowball Patrol at $5.13. The title does not predict the price. The specific card does.
And at the top end, the gap is four orders of magnitude. Baloo - Laid-Back Bear normal print averages $0.06. Buzz Lightyear - Jungle Ranger Iconic Holofoil averages $3,625.08. That's the full span of the ladder in two names.
Where the cold foil money actually goes furthest
The case for cold foil Rares is straightforward. Normal Rares average $0.31. Cold foil Rares average $0.98.
You are paying roughly three times the normal price, same as the rest of the ladder, but the ceiling on a card like Strength of a Raging Fire at $6.13 shows there is real variance to find. The floor is low enough that a miss does not sting badly.
Cold foil Legendaries are a different proposition. The average is $9.83, but Dumbo - Ninth Wonder of the Universe cold foil sits at $58.07. That is not a typical purchase.
Most Legendary cold foils cluster far below that, but the average is pulled up by outliers. If you are buying a specific Legendary in cold foil, check its individual price before assuming it lands anywhere near the average.
Super Rares sit in the middle. Normal prints average $0.61, cold foil averages $1.92. The premium is consistent. Elinor - Renowned Diplomat cold foil at $12.07 is the kind of card that makes that tier interesting, but most land far closer to The Vine - Towering Stalk at $0.38 normal.
The check to run before you buy
The averages here cover every card at each rarity. They are not the price of any one card. A cold foil Common could be $0.06 or $0.37, and both exist in our data right now. Junior Woodchuck Guidebook cold foil at $0.37 and Baloo - Laid-Back Bear at $0.06 are both Commons. Same rarity, six times the price difference.
So the move is simple: check the treatment on the listing before you pay any foil premium, then check the specific card's price, not just its rarity. TCGplayer shows the treatment as a filter.
Use it, because a foil label without a treatment name on a marketplace listing could be either track, and Enchanted Holofoil and cold foil Common are not the same thing.
