Enchanted cards average $156.74, and the priciest one, Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard, is currently listed at $1,410.97. That is the short answer. Here is what it actually means.

The rarity ladder in Lorcana has two tracks, and most people only know one of them.

Common through Legendary cards come in two treatments: Normal and Cold Foil. Epics, Enchanteds, and Iconics exist only as Holofoil. They are not shinier versions of the same cards. They are a separate track entirely. As far as our pricing database shows, there are no Normal Enchanted or Cold Foil Iconic printings in the catalogue.

The ladder from bottom to top spans four orders of magnitude. A typical Common like Buzz Lightyear - Grounded averages $0.06. A typical Iconic like Merida - Formidable Archer averages $1,675.36. That is the same game, the same cardboard.

The counterintuitive bit worth knowing before you buy anything

"Epic" sounds like it outranks "Legendary." The money says otherwise. Cold Foil Legendaries average $11.03. Epics, which are Holofoil only, average $7.98. The name sounds bigger. The price is smaller. If someone offers you an Epic as though it is obviously more valuable than your Cold Foil Legendary, check the numbers first.

Enchanteds sit above Epics and well below Iconics. The 222 Enchanted cards in our database average $156.74. The 10 Iconics average $2,050.37. That gap is real and it matters when you are deciding how far up the ladder to chase.

Enchanteds are not the top of the ladder. They are the second-to-last rung, and the last rung costs ten times more.

What these averages actually tell you, and where they stop

These figures are averages across every card at that rarity, pulled from our own daily price database. They are not the price of any one card. A typical Enchanted like Alice - Growing Girl sits at $162.85, close to the average. Winnie the Pooh - Hunny Wizard at $1,410.97 pulls the average up. Most Enchanteds are nowhere near either end.

What we cannot tell you is what any card will be worth next month. Prices move with play demand and supply. A named card's live price is the only figure worth trusting for a real purchase decision, and ours updates daily.

Where the case for each tier actually lands

The short version
  • Enchanted and Iconic are a separate track. They only exist as Holofoil. You cannot get them in Normal or Cold Foil.
  • Epic averages less than a Cold Foil Legendary. The name sounds higher. The price is not.
  • The full ladder spans $0.06 to $2,050. Common through Iconic, same game, same cardboard.
  • Averages describe the tier, not a specific card. Check the live price of the card you actually want.

If you want to chase foil versions of cards you already play, the case for Cold Foil Rares is straightforward: they average $0.98 apiece, and the gap between a Normal Rare at $0.27 and its Cold Foil version is small enough that you will not feel it badly if the card later loses play demand.

Cold Foil Super Rares average $1.93. That is still approachable. Above that, you are into Cold Foil Legendary territory at an average of $11.03, and above that you are on the Holofoil-only track where Enchanteds start.

Chasing Enchanteds as a collector is a real strategy. Chasing them as a player looking for marginal value over a Normal copy is not: the card text is identical. You are paying for the treatment, not the game piece.

The one recommendation worth standing behind: if your goal is the Enchanted version of a specific card because you love it, buy that card directly at its live price, and confirm the treatment on the listing before you pay.

"Holofoil" is the treatment name our pricing uses for Enchanteds, and a listing without it specified may be the Normal or Cold Foil version of the same card at a very different price. Check the treatment on every listing before you pay the premium.
