If you are deciding whether to show up, that fact matters more than anything else on this page. This is a sealed table experience and a collection, not a pipeline into your competitive deck.

What the event actually is
The celebration runs across the long first weekend after the set releases on October 1. The format sits in the same line as Illumineer's Quest: Deep Trouble and Illumineer's Quest: Palace Heist, both structured play-and-open experiences built around a self-contained product.
Deep Trouble came with 31 cards. Palace Heist came with 35. We do not know how many cards The Great Hunny Rescue contains. Those earlier counts are context, not a forecast.

What we do not know yet
The card list is the obvious gap. Our catalogue holds no cards for set Q3 as of today. That means we cannot name a card, quote a line of text, or describe what you will be opening. Anyone telling you otherwise is guessing. We will update the catalogue the moment verified cards are in the database.
We also do not know how individual stores are running the event, whether attendance is capped, or what prizes look like. Those decisions happen at store level. If you want a seat, the single most useful thing you can do right now is contact your local game store directly and ask.

It is just the reality of how Illumineer's Quest products work. Sealed, story-driven, self-contained. The players who love these events are not trying to feed a tournament deck. They are there for the table, the theme, and the cards as objects.
If that is you, October 2 is your date. If you need tournament-legal pulls, this weekend does not give you that, and no amount of hoping changes the format status.
